Children are one of the greatest blessings that you will be given in life.  If you are fortunate enough to have been blessed with children there are many different things that you should consider about them.  Having children is one of the greatest responsibilities in life that anyone will ever have.

You must be willing to learn to think on your child’s level, to slow your pace in life and have some fun with them.  There are many things that a family can do to have fun together and turning off the electronics and focusing on one another is one of the greatest things in life that you will ever do.  You can learn so much about your children, create healthy relationships with them, and help them to learn healthy relationships and boundaries with others.

No matter who you are you can have a healthy family.  You can have fun with your children and by having fun with them you can learn new things about them.  By learning how to play with your children you can learn new things about who you are.

1.  Have fun Each and Every Day with Your Children

One of the biggest mistakes that parents make is that they do not take the time to have fun with their children each and every day.  Each day you are given is an opportunity for you to be able to have fun with your children.  Never forget that you have been blessed with this time for you and remember to spend each day trying to enjoy the time with your children.

2.  Find a Way to Have Structure and Fun Mixed

Structure is something that is necessary but learning how to have structure and fun together is important.  The balance between the two can be difficult to find but once you have it, you will find that life works smoothly and everyone is more happy.  Make following the rules a game and make it fun for you to have the structure that you need.

3.  Commit to Having Fun

Make a commitment to have fun with your children.  Each morning wake up and make that commitment to yourself.  Keep yourself calm and focus on how you can have fun.  Remember to think about how you are going to be able to fun and make plans for your day before the day starts.

4.  Teach Your Children A Good Relationship with You

Make sure that you are dedicating time to building the right relationship with your children.  You want to make your children aware that they are important to you and that you value them and who they are.  Choose to have a healthy and positive relationship with them and focus on how you can continuously build this relationship.

5. Do Not Try to Do Too Much

Children need down time and need time to rest.  Make sure that you do not try to do too much but instead focus on how you can have the right amount of time to relax with them as well.  No matter what your plans are for the day, you must focus on not trying to do too much.

6. Help Your Children Try New Things

Teach your children a love for adventure and teach them how to love new things.  You want to make sure that they are willing to try things that they might not have tried before.  Help encourage them to not give up and to continue trying things even when it might be tough.

7. Limit the Use of Technology

Reduce the amount of time that your children spend with computers and technology.  Limit the amount of video games that they play and reduce the amount of time that they spend playing with iPads and iPods.  If your children love video games learn new ways that you can play with them but do not always play something that is technological with them.

8. Have Reading Time Every Day

Each and every day sit down and read with or to your children.  When your children are appropriately aged make sure that you are willing to allow them to read to you.  Help aid them with their reading and use this as something that you can learn through them.

9. Set Aside Days and Times to go to the Library

Each week you should set aside the days and times when you can go to the library.  If you cannot go on a weekly basis then find time every other week to take your kids there so that they can learn to have a love of reading.  Show them new books and encourage them to look at new styles as well.

10. Be Ready with Transition Time

There are many different things that you should consider with the transitions between activities with your children.  Plan appropriate transition times between the activities.  Choose to slow down with activities and plan simple ways that you can slow down with the children.
